Thread: Camps automatically disband immediately when used

I had problems today with both my basic and improved camps. As soon as I use the camp, it gives a message that I have launched the camp, that I have left the camp (even though I'm not moving), and then disbands the camp. All in the matter of 1 second.
Anyone else having this same problem?

I had the same problem trying to place a High Tech Field Base while on Lok. Failed twice. Third time i placed a basic camp and that was ok. I've since placed a HTFB on Naboo with no problems. I /bugged it.

I've had several occurences of this, but before the latest patch, and several times in a row before one actually stuck.
I'll test this tonight to see if anything changed, even though it was not mentioned in the patch notes.

I've had this happen a few times.. every time it seemed like when I placed the camp I could see water in the ground where the camp tried to "level" the area. I've been wondering if that has something to do with the auto-disband problem.

Could be...I saw the same thing.
Get this though. I sent in a ticket because of the problem asking very politely for them to reimburse me the 4 camps I lost...and they won't do it. Instead they want me to fill out a bug report...like I'm a freakinggame tester or something. At least testers get paid...I can't even get reimbursed 4 measly camps. You'd think I was asking for a lightsaber or something.

They need to get off their high horse and remember that we are customers first, and beneficiaries second.
I am bug reporting a lot of stuff just to bug them (hehe, they need to get it through their heads that there are too many bugs right now to ignore any of them.)

Yeah, this happens to me all the time. Apparently it's random...
I've had a little better luck when sitting, or when I'm a long ways away from a city, as these two conditions appear to make this problem happen more often, but I've had it happen in the middle of nowhere too. And most of the time, camps work fine. I've had it happen with every type of camp. It's also been doing this to me before and after the CU.
Short answer: happens at random, don't know what causes it.

Rori is really bad for camping also.. Its slow "low" that everywhere has water overflow and my camps disband alot there.

Good to know....most of mine don't work. I'd say it takes about 3 or 4 tries to get a camp to launch.

Really? I dont get the water thing unless I am in a low lying area.. like near the coast or on Rori where almost everything is in the water.. (seems like Rori = florida lol)

I get the ground disappearing thing everytime I set a camp now too. Not always water though - last night I got stars, which was neat.
I noticed it first in the CU Beta, but people mentioned it had been happening to them for a while on live too. Maybe this is an issue that is getting progressively worse. I hadn't heard about it forcing camps to disband before now.

We noticed this happening on TC-Prime back before the vendor publish (Pub13?)
Please, when it happens, make sure that you /bug it ingame and if possible add it to the Issues thread for the current Live publis onthe In_Live forum.
Give as much detail as you can, especially location. It seemed to be localised on TC, but there are so many possible causes that the more info you gove the better hope there is if them finding a fix.
One thing I wondered, when you pitch the camp, do you move anything at all before it puffs out? ie, did you change camera angle, move your mouse, tap the cursor key?
