Im writing a Macro for Survial, wondering if anyone knew how long camps last for.

If you do not manually disband a camp, it will last around 50 minutes.

Last macro I saw used 51 minutes as a safety zone, as camps disband at 50 minutes and some seconds, it's not an exact science.

Alas, it takes almost an hour in macro to earn 20 minutes of points in real time play. Or 8 minutes with a group of 4 or more doing stuff. Your arguement of "But I can do it while asleep"... lame-o at best... and beware the AFK bug, your character has to do stuff or you go AFK and punch out after a certain time, stopping the macro and logging you off.

Now, go out there and hunt and camp and gain knowledge... macro camping is for weenies. It's not the destination that's important, it's the experiences along the way.

Hey - it gives you a chance to clean your desk, read a book, call your girlfriend, make dinner, do a load of laundry...

...my room was never cleaner when I was camping for Ranger.

I've been mixing trapping and camping, and it seems to be working well. I've got it timed to where I run out of traps about the same time I need to rest my action bar. So after throwing traps and killing spiders for a while, I set up a camp, craft more traps, and rest my action bar back up to full. Hang out for a few more minutes to get the full survival XP for the camp, then disband it and go back to trapping. Breaks up the monotony of camping, and Im doing something useful during that time.

hmm...actually its what you get when you get there isn't it? eye on the prize? not eye on the camp?
