Thread: I look back on my scout grinding days

Today I was out helping a guildee get scouting XP on Lok, and I was struck by how fast they get XP nowadays. I remember taking about 2 months to get Master Scout and Novice Rifleman- now I know people who do it in a day. What happened to hours of sitting in camps outside Theed, screaming your head off for people to come in, all the while running your droid around the camp?
I miss the old days- now anyone can get up to Master Scout by grouping on Dant for a few hours 
Here's to solo grinding for two months tonovice ranger.

Remember the first time I mastered scout, did the "Camping Line" by grinding camps. Used a whole lot of hides and bones 
It does seem easier now, as long as you immediatly start trapping too, otherwise your CL will be too high and it will be nigh impossible to gain levels in it.

yeah, it does seem like they made an express lane for us. *sigh* for the old days when a master scout was an accomplishment.
poor clubhouse is in shambles.

Actually he couldnt master ranger that fast because of the trapping xp issue.
I have mastered Ranger three times myself pre-CURB. And I did it within the first couple months of launch the first time. Used to have my guild sit in my camps and use them as jump off points. Ah the good old days.

I remember going through Scout/Ranger the first time. No buffs, no uber armor. No mount even. Just me and my horribly reversed HAM bars (went rifleman with my mind asmy lowest stat). I leveled camps first, back in the 2.5x damage era for ranged combatants. Kept getting killed (wonder why, what with that mind deficiency?) and had to heal up. Leveled alone, leveled on every planet, got killed on every planet.Took me a month just to get Master Scout.
Now, I bet my friend (never played SW:G) could level up through Ranger inside offive days, no problem.
I feel old...and slightly grumpy.
