Thread: Trapping Problem.. Need help

The problem with the new system is that you either can't trap something as your trapping modifier isn't high enough to hit anything OR you hit something you can trap but you get low XP because you're a higher level than it. sadly, the best way to do this right now is simply to drop some combat skills. Alternitavely, you can experiment to see which creatures you can trap. It's all based on their level, so it doesn't matter what creature you trap, just what level it is.
Your best bet is to find a non-social animal (one where others from the same lair don't attack together) and see if you can trap it. If you can hit it a reasonable amount of times and get decent XP, that's what you want. But for now, you'll have to experiment. If you can't hit that level of creature, try something slightly easier. If you're getting no XP and hitting a lot, go with something slightly harder. Try to find a happy middle-ground.
In the end it may be best to drop some rifle skills (don't drop anything that requires combat XP to get, though) until they get a patch together to fix this. sadly, that's really the best advice I can give.
I found out that i can kill scyks and getxp but they are a little hard still for me. they being level 15 but ill deal with it.
Thanks ill try and find some dweezel i read about it just dident really get what it did.
