Thread: Traps can't affect Narglatches?
I was in the narglatch cave the other day w/ my pet, thinking this would be a great way to raise my trapping exp. However, every time I tried to use a trap against any of the narglatches, i got the message "traps must be used against creatures" (or something to that effect). Has anyone else experienced this? Is that a bug? If not a bug, can we not use traps in a cave?
Thanks for you info!
Good luck and good hunting!
Shrine,
Sounds like a bug to me. /bug it.
I've never been there, so I can't confirm. Anyone else?

traps don't work inside the caves, something about the enclosed space. but i got a good deal of my trapping exp at the nerglatch cave, this is how i did it... stand on top of the cave and throw traps down into the cave from above. i don't know if you are still able to do this, but it worked for me. you could trap the narglatches from on top of the cave but they wouldn't attack you because they were inside the cave. a good tip is to disarm your gun so you can't shoot them, that way you can trap untill you run out of traps... make more traps and start over on the same narglatch.

It is not just caves. I've had this happen with certain creatures too. Very disconcerting to get chased and attacked by something that is not a creature. The noxious vrelt scavenger on Corellia is (or at least was) like this too. You can't hit it with a trap, and it is a nasty little bugger. The cave narglatches may be like this as well.

I'd be careful with this one. In my experience, the dev's in every MMOG consider this kind of thing to be an "exploit". Risk-free experience gain in a combat skill, etc.
