I've browsed through the first 4 or 5 pages of these forums, and I didn't notice any recent threads on anyones ideas for changing/adding stuff to scout. The posts are primarily about harvesting or guides. This is a GOOD sign, don't get me wrong - shows a general satisfaction for the way scout is. I've seen a few idea threads posted though... I think one about healing battle fatigue in camps, and I figured I'd go ahead and present my idea that I think would make trapping more fun. (Maybe not for everyone, but for me and my friends who I've mentioned it too, hehe). Everyone that plays this game has probably seen Episode 2 and they remember that scene at the beginning when the Changer Bounty Hunter gets hit in the neck by the dart from Yango Fett. The dart seems similar to what we call traps in the game (except way more powerful if it can kill in one hit). My idea basically starts with the thought of having to enter a first person - sniper mode to administer the dart/trap. Maybe it would require a special weapon? I don't know... But the ability to zoom in would be needed to get better aim. If you hit a vital spot, like the neck, your dart has a better chance at working. If you hit the creature/person in a leg (in other words, you miss your desired point of contact), it might just irritate them and they would become more aggressive. Despite wanting feedback on my idea, I'm also going to also take tihs opportunity to open up this thread for other peoples' ideas. Not that scout is unbalanced or unexciting, but maybe we'll see something the community agrees would spice them up.

I made a mistake in my last post when I said "creature/person", since traps do not work on non-creatures.

Doc,
Good ideas. The idea of a trap gun was brought up before, but I'm not sure where it stands with the Devs.
There are going to be a lot of changes with trapping and the Ranger profession, but I don't believe they will be in line with what you are thinking about here. Most of those will become static traps.
I'll bring up the idea of a dart gun or something similiar again.

If the devs don't want a dart gun for doing extra damage, maybe they could put it in for extra range. Right now I can only throw traps when I'm under 50m from the critter. This negates the extrarange I can get out of my rifle.
