Thread: where can i find talus wooly hides? where are the paralopes?

I've heard paralopes are the only things that drop it, so where are the nests? all i found were one or two in the newbie fight zone outside a city.

This may sound like a simplistic answer but here's what I do when I'm looking for something specific.
- Open the world map
- Set up a WP at least 6KM from my starting point (usually a city - Nashul on Talus or Tyrena on Corellia)
- Start walking
Eventually I come across a nest of whatever it is I'm looking for either on the way there or back.
Last night I wanted to find large quantities of bone/hide/meat to sell on the bazaar for some quick cash (and the XP) for a new, sliced DH17 short carbine since mine "fell apart" in an unfortunate repair incident. I hiked from Tyrena to Coronet (stopping for a quick heal and drink in the cantina) then to Bela Vistal. On that trip I ran across every kind of animal and nest I could need; of course it was a 12+KM walk but you get the idea.
If you need something specific you may have to just go on a long hike to find it. There are some good Paralope nests outside Nashul in the 1-3KM range...its all a matter of being out there when they spawn.

If you get missions for that type it really doesn't take all that long to get alot of hides. Sometimes it can be hard to find the missions. Experiment by changing what weapon you hold while accessing the mission terminal. That can change what level mission you can get. Paralopes are a lvl 5 mission I believe.
