Thread: Another Mask Scent Bug
This could be considered more of a general "creature AI" bug than Mask Scent itself ... but here goes (forgive me if this has already been addressed):
A player with Mask Scent up has an exponentially greater chance of pulling aggro than non-Mask-Scented players. This is especially noticable when grouped.
I am a Master Ranger. I always have Mask Scent up. I am always the person who gets aggroed in the group.
Why? It's simple. The creature code works like this:
Non-Mask-Scented player crosses into "detection zone" and is rarely aggroed out-right.
Mask-Scented player crosses into "detection zone", a check is immediately performed to see if creature breaks Mask Scent or not, if Mask Scent is broken, another check is performed to see if the creature immediately attacks player.
This is a HUGE bug. I stopped using Mask Scent because it was drawing more aggro at me than when I wasn't using it all.
Sir,
The devs are working on it now.
I can't give you any more specifics than that, so you'll just have to trust me. ![]()
