Thread: Spooky Gorg / Scout ???

I'm CL7 Novice scout 3.2.1.0 and doing allI can to get trapping 3 training for free and work my trap xp from 18.000up to 70.000 pt at an early stage. Works ok: when traps hit I get 150-200 xp. Its doable andstock of Hide approaching 1K so i can earn some credit.Then, today - during hunt - twice -I met a, quote:"Gorg (Scout)" !!What is that ? It didn't take any traps saying only creatures etc. Another spooky Gorg fellow couldn't be harmed - im uncertain if"that thing"could harm me cause i burst ran 
.
. Anyway after "lost target message" my figure kept om targetting anybody soI just logged out of the game before I could - unitendedly of course - harminnocent people (or most likely myself).
Can someone explain this ? Is ita bug or what? And how do i escape that "attack all" state i'm in ?

That sounds like a bug - OR, pre-CU they had an auto-target feature. When something attacked you, you would automatically target it if you had nothing else targetted. Were the creatures you were suto-targetting attacking you or were you just randomly targetting things? Either way it sounds like a bug... unless, were you on TC?
If it happens again try turning off your auto-attack and see if whatever you are randomly targetting runs up and starts chewing on you, even when you do not shoot it. And make sure you do a /bug about it.

OK well the (scout) part means that if you attack it it will go back and get all of its buddies. Literally the scout for the MOB. So if your out leveling you dont want to hit the scout if at all possible until his buddies have been killed.

Thanks for the details. Makes good sence. I will do as you say. Justtwofollowupquestions:
1. Turning auto attack off: that means CTRL+ left click on action icon with checkmark for autoattack ?
2. Having set autoattack to whateveroneprefers: Yesterday I was hoovering around on my barc speeder scoring Maskscent XP by passing high level aggressive creatures. Once I was discovered and just continued (off course!). After having "lost target" and unmounting bike I kept on targetting everything that moved - even my bike ! rather confusing. Is that the same thing ? Right clicking on nothing deactivated targetting but as soon I selected any person or NPC same thing. I think i got out of it by inactivate autoselect - Can you confirm ?

2. Your situation sounds very strange - I've never heard anything like that. I would open a ticket with a CSR describing the problem just to be safe - maybe they can fix your character.
Also, check to make sure your tab key isnt stuck - though I would think it would have ixed itself by now if that was the problem.
