My inventory isalways fullof traps, camps, harvested items, stimpacks, pet food, and foraged items. It sure would help if the foraged items stacked.

Lil,

The foraged items don't have the same stats, so there is no way to make them stack. I would suggest dumping them in your house or safety deposit box, getting a couple of packs to sort them into, using them, forcing them on your friends and passersby, etc.

One quick fix is to get some sachets, backpacks, or other type of container. I have 2 napsacks and a sachet. They only take up 1 inventory spot but hold 8-10 items each.

Were bags broken for a while? I gave up on them because they weren't giving me more inventory space. I could store items in them but the total in inventory didn't go down.

Thanks for the responses,

Lila

Lila,

They're working now.

I have three bags - one regular bag labeled "Scouting Equipment" with all of my bones, hide and traps. I have another bag labeled "Combat equipment" with my backup carbine, pistol and my Imperial uniform. I also have a pouch that I keep in that bag labeled "Armor" for all of my armor pieces.

That leaves my main inventory relatively uncluttered, with only the things I'm wearing, using or immediately need to have out (like my bone and hide for crafting, camps, tickets to planets, etc.).

whoa, seriously? i had given up on this as well. the only thing I had that made a difference was an equipable back pack which counted as 1 though it holds 50 - all other satchels/cargo packs held multiple items but all the items still counted...

you're saying that satchels/cargo packs in the main inventory now only count as 1 even if they have 20 items inside?

Ter,

Let me be clearer- to clean up your inventory, the best thing to do is have one or two equipable backpacks. Wearing one will reduce your inventory by whatever you are wearing. Then, having satchels within those backpacks for specific items will keep them organized. I do not believe that the smaller, non equipable bags make more space - sorry if I gave that impression.

Right now, I've got two backpacks that I always have on me - my scouting equipment and my combat equipment (that is not being used). Within my scouting equipment I have a satchel filled with all of my Field Base Kits. This keeps things organized and is the best use of space.

Bags aren't really broken, that's how they are intended to function. Only the wearable containers reduce the burden on your inventories capacity. However, like Delta eludes to, satchels allow you to unclutter your inventory and organize things easier.

Sorry guys,

Guess the Devs aren't dumb enough to fall for the old "bag in a bag in a bag" move from every other game out there.

I've setup three different storage bags in the TMB Guild Hall (I run it, so I can use it...still bugged) to that I can drop off stuff I want to keep, but don't want to keep on me.

I noticed with the backpacks, in particular (didnt try any others), that resources inside them cannot be used.
Is there a trick to this, or am I missing something?

Mord,

No - you've got to have your resources in your main inventory in order for them to show on the crafting screen.

Thats a pity, would have been handy, to be able to not have to move my resources whenever I need to craft something
