Im thinking of starting a char on a new server just for a change of pace/scenery. I was thinking about taking a Master melee prof and Master scout , I havent used a melee prof in a long time and was wondering if melee is a viable option for resource gathering post CU ?

Your input is appreciated

You don't need any armor.You don't need any weapon. You're an excellent tank. You have a dizzy attack and theshort version of armor break. You get 500 extra health from powerboost. You can cure disease, poison and wounds by meditating.

The disadvantage is that you won't have any crowd control and don't do much damage.

You can choose between adding some pikeman for crowd control, medic skills to heal yourself and swordman skills to do more damage.

If you plan onhunting solo then you should also consider getting the trapping line from ranger. That way you can safely pull single creatures.

Melee scout + anything as it does not matter = cloner.

Ranged scout and traps = mucho credits from successful hunts.

And I don't wear armor and am ranged. It's all in knowing what traps to toss when.

Melee, it's what's for lunch.

Actually that's not true at all, depends on what you're hunting, if it's Krayts, Kimos by yourself then ok yeah, you're pretty much deadmeat. I've never had any problems hunting solo with using a melee combat profession and there are QUITE a few others that don't have problems either.

Master Pikeman Working on Master Ranger, what I love about this is you can throw a wire mesh trap lower there Melee defense and pound away. Wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
