Thread: Here is my trapping delima

I started my unlock toon last weekend and since have attained scout 4044, mastered rifles and some CH boxes. I am now a CL 60 but still need the trapping tree for master scout. I did not forsee trapping to be a major problem, but now it is near impossible for me to get traping exp. Any suggestions?

Try reading some of the other threads on this issue, there's probably a couple dozen each in the Ranger and Scout forums, there's various tips to try and help. Though in your case your only option is probably to drop various skill boxes to get your CL down to a level where you can trap things that'll give you decent exp. Which would probably drop you down to basic profession skill boxes only.

I am in the same boat as you. But, I am at 3230 Scout. You were grinding in a group and not worrying with getting the trapping. I focused on that first. With the xp broke it makes it alot harder. I recommend getting any trapping skill takes and some dweezel. These might help you have a better chance of landing traps.
Or just wait til Pub 20 when they "should" fix the xp problem.

best way to get trapping xp in your situation would be to get in a good group, and don't attack on of the creatures your group attacks, just throw traps at em. It'll taker a while but you should be able to land a few and get trapping xp

It should, you probably won't land alot of traps but the traps you land should get you full xp

I burned through no less that 50 traps at one lair and landed none. My question is wht can't traps work the same way as weapons do with the CL. If I am a level 76 now, I should be able to use traps the require a higher cl level, and thus would work on higher level MOBS.
GreenMarine has stated that the way trapping xp is calculated is broken. They hope to have it fixed for next Publish. If you cant level just wait a bit. They "should" fix it soon.
