This I'm sure had been brought up before. But last night is the first time I have done one of my RoB hunts. And seeing a system message for every one of the harvests from every one of the group members, is ANNOYING.

It seems they added this "feature" in the last publish. Why? Who the sith cares if someone is harvesting. Looting messages if fine, but those you used to be able to shut messages off if you wanted. But I'm told no one knows how to turn these off.

I recall back in the beginning of this game, you could pull up "group options" with check boxes. This was to turn on/off all group system messages of everything. Do we know how to get to that? Does it still exist? Is the group harvest messages in that?

Please, make them go away, or make it so we can turn it off.

i like it too. when my guild is harvesting specific amounts of a type of meat, we can keep a mental map depending on who is harvesting what. Then you can estimate how many you ill have to kill for a certain amount. I think there is an option to turn these off if you are the leader.

One temporary solution is to make a chat window with System Messages turned off. I get the messages onscreen but I don't get them cluttering my chat window. If I need a record of what the system messages actually were, I use my spatial tab. I do wish we could choose what system messages we get but this is the best I've been able to manage. But I really do like the new harvesting messages. It's both interesting and sad to know how small a boost you get from Novice Scout to Master Ranger.

I'll ask if this is a possibility. It is pretty annoying. But I also like being able to see how much other folks can harvest.

Meesa no want system messages for this or chat window messages for this. And it seems it does this to EVERYONE in the group, not just the leader. What a pile of crap addition this was from the devs. You can for sure tell they don't play the game. And yes I know, they don't actually, that's why I said that. It's like having someone that has never lived inside any kind of structure at all, design your house.

Does anyone remember/know how to bring up the options window if you are group leader, for the loot, incap etc messages? I can't remember how to, so for all I know it might be in there, and it's easy to turn off.

Actually, most folks love this addition. No more ninja looters. I personally don't mind it, but I can see where you can be annoyed by it.

Turning the sys messages off is under your options screen - I think it's under misc but I may be wrong.

Delta, as I said Looting is different then harvesting. You can't NINJA harvest. Anyone with at least novice scout in the group can harvest. I totally like the LOOT messages, but I hate the harvest message. If someone harvests or doesn't, it makes no nevermind to me.

And I don't want to shut off ALL system messages. Just harvesting.

Honestly, people had a problem with ninja harvesting? You have to be kidding me.

I will try the idea of the /group message off toggle also.

Errrm, acutally you can still 'ninja' harvest but it's different to before, if someone harvests the corpse it's decay time comes down a lot so it will dissapear in a matter of seconds instead of a couple of minutes meaning all other scouts have to sprint and harvest the same corpse before it vanishes. Can kinda distract people from combat if all the scouts are chasing each other to corpses.

Best save harvesting until after the battle unless the creatures you're fighting are particually easy to kill.
