I was riding my swoop by a lair, and just for kicks and giggles I pulled up the search lair as I was riding by, and hit it just as I rode through the center of the lair. Sure enough, I got like 15 Egg! I tried it two more times, and got Live Samples!
So, is this a known bug? Or is it 'working as intended'

I don't think I've ever gotten 2 things out of 1 lair, but then again, I never tried to search it twice.

Oh, I didn't search the same lair 3 times, the bug I was reffering to was being able to Search the lair while riding a swoop (and presumably any other vehicle)

Night,
I've known you can do this, but it wasn't until you posted this that I considered it could be a bug. 
I'll let the Devs know.

ehhh if it is a bug its too major but then again if your hired too get eggs it could speed things up a little

And as is eggs can be annoying to get, especially since I end up deleting 20+ live samples per run, I chalk this up as a feature.

I've gathered and sold plenty of eggs since I've been on this game, and most (if not all) of the time I search the lairs while riding my mount or speeder.
Mabye it's a bug, but at least it's not an annoying one 
This way, riding from lair to lair, you can collect eggs at a good rate!

I was always under the assumption that this was not a bug. Keep in mind that you can loot a body (but not harvest resources) while riding a vehicle/mount.

If it's a bug, leave it in as a feature! I like riding by aggro lairs and stealing their eggs while on my bike! *Yoink*
Incidentally, you can loot the same lair multiple times. I'm not sure if there's a timer, or if it respawns when you travel a certain distance from it, but it will continue to give eggs/loot randomly if you leave the area for a bit.
