Unless the owner engages in combat, or leaves the camp. Then, after awhile the camp poofs out. You can tell if the owner is getting xp for the camp if the fire is lit. No fire = no xp. You can be in a camp with no fire and still heal/pull pets... however the owner is not getting anything for it. This tends to happen more with combat than abandonment.

It used to be that a camp only lasted so long and then it outomatically disbanded, is this no longer the case?

If they do disband on their own, how long do they take and does it vary by camp type?
