This is some really good information. I would recommend this guide to all new scouts.

Thanks! I also have another Scouting article going up msot likely tonight that should have a few more good areas of information in it.

All it is missing is a description of what is needed to be done for the various types of XP.

For example, I am lurking in this forum atm, trying to find out what I have to do to increase my exploration xp. Can't find anything on it.

Very well written, I would recommend anyone starting in the scout professionread it.
