Now reading some of the trap descriptions I saw that some would say they only work on animals.. But when I tried to use others on humanoids I would get a mesage saying they can only work on animals as well. So can ANY of our traps be used on humans? Kinda screws my template if I cannot use any trap in PvP.

Nope, none of the traps work on human-types. A while ago, quite a few people wanted to make it so that traps could be used on humanoids by bounty hunters, but that obviously didn't make it to the game.
