First of all you will need Exploration IV for this. I also tried this as a Bothan which have a +15 bonus to Camouflage, so that may also haveinfluenced my success. You will also need a lot of credits to spare.

Anyways, I was on Tauls, so I took a shuttle to Corellia, and from there to Yavin4. To buy all the round trip tickets took me 8,000 credits. When I got there I insured all my items, but I was out of credits so I could not bind myself. I then put on Mask Scent, and proceeded to walk out the mining outpost. Just outside, less that 100 meters, there was a bunch (about 6) of red snakes. I quickly got 100 xp each re-applying mask scent as necessary. I then walked around a bit and I discovered a beach another 50 meters away. On this beach there was a minimun of 35 of the snakes. So I continued to run around and through them, getting 100 xo from each of them. I got the 17,500 xp needed to get Novice Creature Handler in less than75 minutes.

Now, for this to be successfull rememeber a few things. Don't take chances. Don't get too close, mask scent is not dependent on how close you get to your target. Mask scent works like this. When you get closer than 64 meters to your target, it will attemt to passify your MOB. If it doesn't give you xp or it fails, put mask scent on walks back outside the 64 meter range. Each time you break the 64 meter line there is a chance you will get xp and a chance you willfail and mask scent will drop.

While I was doing this I received no agros, and I never died. So I considered this the most successfull way of getting Scout XP.

Just a thought, and I'm a total noob so bear with me. Wouldn't it be a good idea to head to Yavin 4 and put all of your items in the bank and clone yourself..then run around masking scent? If you die, no biggie..you just respawn at clone and go again. You don't have to worry about insurance since you won't be carrying anything on you. This to me would make it very fast to grind away the exp with absolutely no worry about dieing and losing your stuff.

Would this be doable at Exploration III? I'm a human, not a Bothan so should I grind out Exp IV on Tatooine then go to Yavin or can I go try it now?

Putting items in bank would be a good idea yeah, and I would have done it, but my bank is on Talus and I wasn't about to bring everything over to Yavin4 to be able to just bank my items temporarily.

As a Bothan I am pretty sure that you could go to Yavin4 at Exploration III, as a human im not sure. You might be able to. Of course, there is no trainer on Yavin4 that I could see, so you will have to go back to another planet to train, and come back again. Could cost a pretty penny.

Good point the cost would be very high for travel especially coming from Tatooine that doesn't have a direct route to Yavin. What about this...going to Lok instead..which does have a direct path from Bestine on Tatooine? How tough does anyone think this would be for a place to train scout exp using Mask Scent at level 3 Exploration?

This works well on Lok as well. Was getting up to 234xp per tick. Running from Nym's Stronghold to the south edge of the map and back got me a grand total of around 15,000 xp.

Who can do this as a human? I am trying this and in the last 20 min I have goten 300xp. I have exploration 4 and I am on Yavin 4. I am running arond with mask sent on, going in and out from 100 to 50 meters from the target. They keep seeing me.. Is there something I am missing? Or should I just leave?

Probably your Camouflage is too low?

HA!! I figured it out!!! I just got 5k XP in 10-15min!! You have to run by them all with them on your left or right side, don't even look at them. And it works great!
