Do the same things you did to get to the first level. Only with level 2 you have to do more. For instance you have to harvest for hunting II and exploration II. For trapping you have to create traps and use them on monsters. For survival II you have to make camps and use them, the more visitors and the longer the camp is being used equals more exp. Once you get exploration II you get /maskscent you can use this around small creatures such as kreetles, womp rats and other yellow doted creatures on your map. Remeber scouting xp only works for hunting and exploration. While trapping works for trapping and survival works for survival. Hope this works for ya.

Be patient Kabalanth! Scouting is not a fast path, and it can't be macroed away. And it only gets slower!!

In order to get the second tier scouting skills (Explore 2 and Hunting 2), you're gonna have to keep /harvesting things. There's no other way. I'd recommend taking a lot of destroy missions for blue con things, focus on killing as many things as possible, not just the nest, harvest everything and sell the hides. You'll earn a good amount of cash, have the hides to sell, and get the needed scout experience.

If you use a lot of traps and lay down camps between nests to heal up your wounds, you'll bring your other skills up as well.

On the plus side, once you get maskscent at Exploer 2, you can actually start to use it and get additional scouting experience. I'd recommend Explore 2 over Hunting 2. Then fly to Tatooine and take Kreetle destroy missions, Odds are maskscent will work on kreetles (at 100 xp per kreetle!), which makes getting survival go 2-3x faster than just killing blues.

mask scent does indeed work on kreetles, but at 1 xp ! is sad, and belive me is true, at least on Narutis server, Corilia I get 100+ xp for running past red dots ( you get nada for yellow dots anywhere ) on Naboo I got 100+ for red dots, and btw the red dots have to be creatures, on raising Trapping-- well use em is all I can say, I have Trap 2 and it rocks, soon to have trap 3, I plan on taking all the scouting trees to Master Scout, on camps, when you reach Survival 2 you can craft Multi Camps, more Survival xp for them, and btw the longer you stay with a camp up the more xp you get, also the # of visitors, and if a medic comes in and heals, or an enterntainer entertains in yer camp ... well... mega xp. fighting, hunt kreetles, they made of glass and two shots from a squirtgun would kill one. good xp there. Harvest all yer kills, all of them, scouting xp will go up quick. and btw, why Pistol? I went Carbine, Legshot2 on red dotted swoopers will turn the fight in yer favor. if it does it vs. them then am thinking its a good weap to use. wanna be a Sniper? then go rifle..... Respects to all.

my spirit soars over the worlds, sorrow I feel inside for endless creations and newbies deaths for those who have fought and have died. My soul moves over the worlds, with the clouds seeing misery, suffering and pain and the clouds do weep, as does my soul and together we weep the rain. My respects to all.

Just a thought. You do realize that you have to go to a trainer, or get a PC to train you in the first level of the skill tree, before any points start showing up in the second level, right?

Yeah I think the other people totally missed that. I think that is what his problem is.

Find a trainer, or ask someone in town to train you.

Since we're on the subject... if you train from a PC, don't forget to tip your trainer!! They're taking their time to help you out, and in many cases this early on, they were the ones who paid the 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k to the NPC trainers for their skills. I know I haven't seen anyone other than myself offering survival (though lower-level survivals are showing up now... but I'm about to need survival IV, and have yet to see anyone asking for or teaching survival III. Don't start telling me "I have it", or "I know someone...". hehe... I know they're out there, just not abundant enough yet to where I can spend 15-30 minutes near a busy area of Coronet, Corellia, Intrepid and see one). So... I've already spent 6k on survival, and will probably pay the other 4k this evening or tomorrow.

As for what's reasonable... 10% is pretty fair... 100c for tierI skills, then 200c, 300c, and 400c for tier IV skills. I tend to tip 50-100% more than that myself, especially for rarer skills, or musical/medical skills (since musicians and medics rarely get the tips they deserve in the first place).
