The Max i've pulled while trapping is 50 trapping XP per hit. Is this the max?

Maybe I have to hunt larger game or use different traps? (im using wire mesh against hermit spiders)

Try Fambaas. I'm hitting them for as much as 300 points a pop. Be prepared to do a lot of running, though. Another guy and I actually took down a Fambaa -- took us at least thirty minutes, but we did it.

Falumpasets also give good XP (somewhere around 150, I think), but they will kill you a lot faster than Fambaas, so be careful there.

Yeah, it really depends on how high the creature that you're attempting to trap is. Higher level creatures give more XP. Crazed Durni's and Tabages on Corellia are awesome. 90 or so per trap thrown and they're so slow you can throw a bunch and outrun them.

Can I find any of these creatures by getting a mission to destroy them?

If not....

Which ones CAN I take missions with to find? ( Having a heck of a time walking around looking for Kimas right now. Would love it if I could get a waypoint to ANY of the creatures you guys mentioned.

Actually the best place to bulid trapping xp is the kimas on Talus they are deadly but amzaingly slow off hand you get about 150 pts per trap. But if your combat skills are low expect to spend probably 15-20 running around in circles till you can kill them off.
