So far I have been buying all of my traps but someone said that I can make them. Does anyone know how to do this because I have no idea about crafting and stuff. Please post exactly how to do this if it is possible.

You need a general crafting tool. You can find one on the bazaar under "tools." Or you can hook up with an artisan of just about any skill and have him/her make one for you. This is the first (and probably most difficult step).

Now, all you need is at least 3 hide and 3 bone (to make the two simplest traps). You being a scout, I'll assume you know how to do this.

Next, go to your inventory and chose "Start Crafting" on the radial menu for the GCT (General Crafting Tool). It will list all the things you know how to make. I believe traps are in the Miscellaneous (or maybe it's General) tab. You'll know you're on the right tab when a basic camp kit is one of the things on the list. Scroll down to the bottom and there should be your traps!

Click on the one you with to craft and follow the simple crafting wizard. That should be all you need to start making your own traps.

I am by no means an expert, but let me share a few things I learned...

Your crafting tool kit should either be in your inventory or in the bank. I did not start with one and spent 100credits buying one. Hours and hours later, I figured out how to put items in the bank. There in the bank, was my tool, my pistol and some other noob stuff I was supposed to have started with. In case you dont have yours in your inventory, left click and hold on a bank terminal. I cant remember exactly what it says, but you'll find it.

Doing this from memory, so it might not be exact.Hit the Ctrl key to release your mouse and then click on the Data Terminal Icon. Click over to Schematics. This tells you what you can make. It also tells you any waypoints you have. Clicking one of the traps and choosing details will give you the recipe.

Go hunting. After you kill something, keep the corpse targetted. You can then either hit the ~ key on your keyboard or hold down your left click. Choose Harvest Resources, then choose what you want to harvest. I like the ~ key, my mouse hand tends to slip and I end up harvesting the wrong thing.

Anyways, once you get a bunch of bones and hides, you're ready to create. Open your inventory and click on your crafting tool. It will boot up and give you a list of things you can make. Choose what you want to create, drag the appropriate items over, and so on until you've finished all the screens. Upon the final create screen the tool screen will close and you'll get a message when the item is placed in your inventory.

A good tip... Ask people who are killing a lot of stuff if they are scouts. If they have no interest in harvesting, ask themif you can group. As long as your not doing missions, grouping doesnt really matter. You wont take exp from them unless you shoot their kills. BUT being grouped allows you to harvest his kills that would other wise just poof.
