made a /harvest hotbutton, killed anything that wasn't humanoid and harvested it...

Take two destory missions that go in the same direction. Kill on the way to and from said missions. Harvest EVERYTHING you kill. Always be on the lookout for Rogue Banthas if you are near Mos Espa/Tattooine. Easy to kite and 125 scouting xp per harvest.

Benefits of this are: weapon xp, combat xp, scouting xp, wilderness xp (if you camp to heal up), andyou can build upa nice nest egg in the bank from the credits you receive.

I must say that i haven't really done anything specific to get my XP (ie i don't go out with the specific purpose of getting the scouting XP) ... I have just played the game. I go out and i hunt, either taking a couple of missions or just for the sake of looking at the world. I harvest what kill and i keep my mask scent up as much as possible. I have now got explore 4 and hunting 4 in about 2 - 3 weeks not overaly fast but i saw no reason to rush it because the game will still be there tomorrow

you can do several things to gain scouting exp:

1. run around and kill all the creatures yo see and harvest them, trying your mask scent skill that has a high probability of failure.

2. take destroy missions preferably ones that are in the same direction, pull out your previously paid for probe droid, goto the way points, order your droid to attack, wait a second or 2 then help kill, harvest, rince, repeat.

3. purchase a organic harvester(or so I have been told) and wait.

4. learn the secret to the mask scent and utilize it alot in conjunction with steps 2 and 3.

and finaly, do not be afraid to expierment great things are discovered by expiermenting all the time.

I found that if you find a lair, or go on a destroy mission, you can take a pot shot at the lair after killing all the mobs around it. I take just one shot then hit peace. You'll then get some spawns which you can kill. I've noticed that some lairs will then continue to spawn in large quantities, offering lots of XP. You may only get 42 XP per, but when you are 1 and 2 shotting them, that's still pretty good.

I was able to get about 6,000 XP in about an hour and half last night to finish up Hunting IV. Certainly not uber, and certainly doesn't compare to what you can get in a good group on one of the tougher planets, but when solo and still a lowbie, its pretty good.
