Thread: Adhesive Mesh trap on BIG creatures?
Shyrr,
I've used pretty much every trap in my quests to the destroy the wild Fambaa's on Theed.
Adhesive mesh works fairly well, especially against slow moving animals like Fambaas, Tortons on Rori, and the elephant guys whose correct name I've forgotten on Lok.
I use all of my traps in compliment - I've got my F5-F12 quickbar lined with traps, so thatI can ripple them off quickly - and adhesive mesh is always #1 followed by noise maker at #2.

Hi All,
I posted this as part of another post. All of my other questions got answered (Thanks everyone!) but this one was past over so I'll ask it in its own thread.
Has anyone tried to use adhesive mesh traps on large, red creatures like Banthas or Humbabas?
If so, what was your experience. I'm going to give it a shot soon on my own, but if someone has already tried it and found it to be a bad idea I'd rather know now! ![]()
Thanks everyone. This really helps. I'm going to try on a Rogue Bageraset (sp?) tonight if the servers are up. That coupled with a P. Dart and a health shot DOT aughta be devastating! Soon I'll have Rifle Spec and will be able to add a mind shot DOT to the mix depending on where the creature is weakest.
It's nice to see the two disciplines (Scout and Marskman) compliment each other so well finally.
Seth,
Trapping XP is the easiest to get. Good luck - you'll get a lot of XP fast following the tips everyone put up here.
My friend and I found a herd of Fambaa's on Naboo, and proceeded to kill them all over an hour period. 5 Fambaas - andI was making a set of 8 traps for each one. I proceeded from the bottom of Ranger trapping 3 to the middle of ranger trapping 4 (right around the cap for training). Gotta love slow moving creatures that give 400 XP per trap!
