Thread: Where and how to get scouting xp ?
Is there a better way to earn scouting xp then farming the novice critters ? I tried Mask Scent for a change, but as we all no there it is no longer giving xp.
Psycho,
Read both of my guides, posted at the top of the page. They'll giveyou all of the tips and hints that I know about getting good Scout XP.

Thanks but you can be sure that I had read them, but I was looking for more specific information.
I got this probleme where I have to run around a lot just to find a good spot of critters and 2 minutes later the camp is cleaned so I have to look elsewhere
I was wondering if someone know of a nice spot where I can find a steady amount of mobs so I don't have much running to do. I'm getting eyes bleeding from watching myself running up and down hill.
During development:
"Please, devs! No camping! No static spawns!"
After development:
"Anyone know a good place to camp?"
Jeez....
Anyhow, go to Corellia and run around and around until you see about 4 scavenger rats close to each other. They'll respawn. Two of these spawns finished out a 45 kill hunting mission for me. That or hunt murra lairs. They spawn mobs like crazy, and give you more xp than scavenger rats.

Psycho,
Here are some specifics:
Go to Moenia on Naboo. Get yourself two missions for "Nightspiders" or "Hermit Spider" lairs.
Go out, kill all of them at the lair. Hit the lair ONCE, then hit peace. Wait for a single spider to pop. Unequip your weapon. Attack. Grab the agro, hit peace, and let it incap you.
While you are laying there waiting to get up, a massive number of spiders are going to spawn.
Get up, go heal (build a camp maybe). Go back, kill at the spiders.
Repeat as often as the lair keeps spawning. Generally you can usually get between 20-30 nightspiders (maybe more) from a good lair. That's about 1000 (minimum) Scouting XP per lair. Keep doing this over and over.
More specifics:
Get a group of friends together, with no other scouts, or scouts who don't need the XP. Go northwest of Theed. Find a herd of Fambaas. Kill them in the group, harvest them. 400-500 XP per kill.
That's about the quickest you'll make XP, period.
You've always got to balance out amount of XP per kill vs. time to kill. Spiders may only give 50 XP, but they're one-shotable. Famby's give 400 but it will take you just as long to kite one as to farm an entire lair of Spiders. 400 vs. 1000? Easy choice.

Hmm...Assuming you can take things at least as tough as Nightspiders and Ikopi, head out East of Kareen, for about 2km. Then poke around. Eventualy you can find yourself a nice spot that has two or three lairs of Ikopi and/or Nightspiders. Bouncing between two or three "wild" lairs (not generated by missions) you can get about 5k scouting in about an hour.
For the most part, Getting scouting XP is a lot like getting combat/weapon XP. "Lots of Blues" tend to yeild the best rate of XP. The better your combat skills, the faster you can harvest scouting XP.
If you have a group that is willing to be realy nice to you....You can hitch a ride to Lok and harvest a few Kimos at about 2k scouting XP a pop. But that requires a lot of freinds that realy like you. ![]()
