Thread: Why did my crafting tool stop working?
Hello,
I am a fan of the Scout board here. This is a nice community. I am somewhat sorry that my first post is not more interesting. I am having a problem that I do not understand how to fix. Whenever I try to use my generic crafting tool to produce tents or traps it fails and I see a message stating: "The crafting tool has a prototype or manufacturing schematic in its output hopper. You need to make room in your inventory or datapad and remove the item before you can use the tool again." My inventory is only 86% full and my datapad is 6% used. What is an output hopper? I don't understand what I am being told to do. Please help me clear this up. Hopefully my next posts will sound more like those of a Master Scout.
Thank you
Open up your inventory, and click and hold on the tool. There should be a new option that pops up on the top of it and says "Empty Hopper" or something to that effect. Click on it.
If it's still in there, try shifting some of your inventory around and trying it again.
If it STILL doens't work, get a new crafting tool.
Hope this helps.

I've run into this once or twice...
If Delta's suggestion doesn't work you have to close the client. Not just logout, but completely shut it down. Once you'vecompletely logged out, and let the server log you out, the GCT should start working fine. Just type the old /sit; /logout then hit the exit button and come back in. Some glitch somewhere... no big worries. Never hurts to have an extra GCT anyway.
Good Luck with it,
