I believe that trapping and camping should remain scout-only skills. The best way for scouts to make money is to harvest high-qualityhide, meat and bones and sell it to crafters.

Eck,

You can't use real life anecdotes to base major game changes off of. We can come up with a zillion excuses as to why or why not marksmen should use traps. I mean - c'mon - who THROWS a trap anyway?

Anyway, you won't make any money at all. Traps and Camps are too easy to make, and there are two many Scouts in the game. You'd be lucky to get 20 credits for each camp and 5 credits per trap. So this is just a bad way of diluting our skillset.

I'd also argue your 60% of people solo statistic. First, I've not seen any metrics like this. Second, I can speak for at least myself in that I NEVER go hunting alone anymore. Never. I always havea group.

I suggest that you find a PA, or try and make some friends. If you're having trouble with THAT...well, you may want to be more patient and use punctuation.

Yeah, give away the only two things that Scouts/Rangers have going for them, traps and camps, and let the entire universe use them. Might as well hang a closed sign on the profession, what use would we be then?

As to soloing...Most higher end weapons peoplealready can solo, without traps, tho the smarter ones have a Scout/Ranger along for the "bring a buddy program" to slow number 2, while number1 is killed.

We used to get artisan xp for making traps. We fought to get profession specific XP for it and won.

You want to make money, go run missions, or go harvest and sell the results. Selling traps doesn't work because the only people who can use them can make them. Same as with camo kits, tho if you are a Ranger you can sell them to noobs, who can't use em.

What do I think... nah, you might not like my choice of invectives... not a good idea at all. Back to the drawing board.

how much money would a scout make if Marksman could use traps, and artisians could use camp sites. Im only possing such a question because, I can never find a group. And im not sure how to join a player faction, also most players solo at least 60% of the time. I feel that a marksman is smart enough to throw a trap. I dont think the marksman should get trapping exp because Traps are not job specific, but if that marksman could throw traps, then i could sell traps! actually i think everyone is smart enough to throw traps and smart enough to use camp sites. Lets be honest a 10 year old kid can set up a tent, but only a scout can make them. I wish this rule would change. What are your thoughts
