OK, I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I don't know how to forage! I have the action in my toolbar, but when I click it it says I can't forage while doing whatever I'm doing. If I'm standing still it says I can't forage while running. If I kneel, I can't forage while kneeling, if it sit, I can't do it while sitting, if I go prone, (you guessed it)

I've tried all this in a camp, and out, it makes no difference. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

On a seperate point. I've read several times about getting XP for constructing camps and traps. Now I've made loads of these things. I'm now 4-2-3-3 Scout, and I've never got a single XP point for making anything! Makes no difference whether I practice or not. Now I don't want to grind this, I'm quite happy to slowly make my way through the survival tree by camping with friends, however, the amount of traps and camps I make, it would be nice to get the XP. Again, am I doing anything wrong?

Ok the forage

Stand still for five seconds in standing, this will then allow the forage, your character will bend over and look for stuff if it works - only food and eatables for buffs.

Its coz you were running etc the system needs the little bit of time to work out what your doing, so give it that 5 secs.

As for crafting xp, me too never got a single ditty for crafting a camp or trap, got the exp for using them but thats it.

You do get XP for making camps, but there is no announcement.

The way to check is to note your xp, make a camp while camping, then check your xp. It should have gone up. If not, /bug it. Making camps while camping adds double xp, sort of. Your camp takes less time to max out, as you are crafting, and you do (or are supposed to) get xp for making the camp.

Check it out, and report it if it's broke.

Guys,

You'll never get a spam for any kind of crafting XP - Survival or otherwise. It just shows up.

And crafting traps doesn't get you didly squat. Wish it did though.

Jawa,

It does give you surivival XP. Just not a lot.

The XP is directly proportional to the amount of materials you put in. Trap needs 7 piece of hide and bone? You get 7 XP. Not exactly great. But every little bit helps.
