I've found that getting trapping/combat XP is pretty easy with the following method. This is great for the future bounty-hunters and rangers out there whoneed trapping or combat xp. When fighting an animal, hit them with multiple traps. You get the full trapping XP for each trap. Also, there appears to be a boost in overall combat experience for the fight, possibly due to the status inflictions. I pulled 600 trap XP in one fight with a female kaadu (conned yellow) hitting her with 6 traps (bone spur, noise maker, stinkbomb, glow wire mesh, lecapine dart, and phenacine dart ). The key is to wound them first so that you can kill them in 1 or 2 hits after you're done trapping.

Lmao, and if you had read the guide stickied at the top of the forum you would not have had to figure it out by yourself.

What'll really blow your nugget is when your a novice ranger (maybe ranger trapping 1) and you can hit enraged rancors for 1.5k trapping xp/trap. At 5 out of 6 traps/rancor hit = 8k xp. I thought scouting xp was the easiest to get; boy was I wrong.
