Thread: Milk command?
Haven't found one yet. Assuming it isn't there (search lair doesn't have one either) since that way you could have Macro Milkmen(tm)

As Delta indicated, there is no command line milking command.
My attempts to follow the creature (and use thefollow command to do so)while milking to keep in range to milk failed. It seems to be similar to taming, but you must get in closer to the creature to milk it, closer than follow allows you to get. You can milk it on the run, so to speak, but you've got to manually keep up with it and keep within range. You'll see "You continue to milk the creature" two times on your screen before the milking attempt results in success, and you've got milk in your inventory.
Due to this aspect of milking, I don't think you'll be able to construct a macro to milk. You've got to be there to manually move yourself around to keep up with the creature.
The milk does not autostack in your inventory upon harvestingthe way same resource meat/bone/hide does; you must manually stack it, much as you do eggs retrieved from lairs.

I was started to be afraid of that. I've encountered what Sio has been talking about, and lots of times the animal gets out of range and I've got to begin milking again. Doing it from the radial menu gets a little annoying.
I have noticed that with large animals like Fambaa, I get
You calm the creature and beging milking it
You continue milking the creature
You continue milking the creature
The creature has moved too far away for you to milk it
...........even if the damn thing is lying down. grrrr

Yeah, I've had this happen when trying to milk a humbaba. The darn thing was ON ITS SIDE and it supposedly "moved to far away" for the milking to conclude.
Bah!
