hi all, i'm scout (hunting4)
what is the best way to get more hide/meat ?
droid or using veghash +32 in harvest ... let me know please

The best way is to get the highest rated droid,+105 I think it is,take the veghash then call your droid.Don't group with it,it'll only run away.At you current level you'll see something like a 19% increase in your harvesting.If you start moving up the Ranger tree,this will start to diminish,and once you hit master you'll just do better useing just veghash.

The best way to harvest more is to kill more animals in a shorter period of time.
Yeah, you and a harvestor droid might get 5 hides per critter more. But on a 100 unit harvest, me and my killer droid will be dropping them like flies, while you keep telling your moron harvestor where to go and what to do. One command does it for me - guard. I harvest, no screw ups.
Veghash is ok, only if you start dealing with larger amounts. The +number only adds to your modifiers, not the amount of harvest.
Faster is better. You also get more XP when grouped and there is no harvesting grouping penalty for pets anymore, so you are in a win win situation.
Unless you are a rifleman, they need harvestors so they can stay hidden and shoot.
Get a killer, try it out. I swear by, not at, mine.

Thx I just spent 60k on a new harvestor - I want to know how the damn thing works.
I set it to be interested in meat but I dont see a bonus to my harvest when harvesting. I dont need kill droids. My droid always died first before my CH pets so it has remain unused for quite some time.

Big issue here comes from the droids rating for harvesting. Unless the droid is top of the line you might not see much of a bonus. Examine the droid and check what the rating is ... ideally, as a previous poster hinted, you want the rating to be closer to or above 100.
I don't want to downplay JB's excellentpoint though. The best way to get alot of harvesting done is by killing more things. Weigh the harvesting bonus against your speed / efficiency at dropping a creature. I've recently been experimenting more with combat droids and am very happy with the results.
Ultimately ... fast kill + veghash + higher Creature Harvesting rating (including droid bonus) = more yeild
