Thread: Shellfish Harvesting and Wilderness Survival Exp. Suggestions Anyone agree?

Personally i find it a little hard to gather any aount of shellfish because the shellfish don't stack. You need to physically stack every single 3-5u stack to the same one... Anyone else think it should autostack?
As for wilderness survival, it seems relatively annoying to have to make a macro for Camps all night just to get through it without fishing for a month, Anyone else think that Shellfish Harvesting should provide Survival exp like fishing does?

Shellfish harvesting is for anyone. So no XP should be granted for basically picking up shiny seashells. Foraging maybe, not shellfishing.
Stacking, who harvests shellfish anyway? It doesn't stack the same way milk doesn't stack. If you just stick in to a satchel or pouch, it will stack.
Macros are for morons by the way. Camping by macro will make you stupid and want to become a Bounty Hunter. Sit in camps with friends, craft more camps and you can get through it in a day. Macros take way too long and you learn nothing.

hehe i agree with you on this completely, i have so far refused to set up a camp over night and will most likely continue to do so, but what is there to learn from camping anyway?
And i also agree with you on the shellfish since you did point out anyone can do it (i forgot). I wish milk, crustaceans, and eggs all stacked but they don't... know any reason y not? At least fish does.. too bad the baits won't =)

I think it's the same reason minerals and stuff doesn't stack for artisans. Only the devs know and they ain't saying.
And actually talk to people in your camps and you learn what other professions do, what they need from you, what you can do for them, and they can do for you.And you make contacts for sales/barter later on.
I applaud anyone not macro camping. BHs used to macro camp, the same class that can't read a compass.
