Just wanted to see how i'm fairing in the world of Scout.....
I'm a 4/3/4/3 scout and have my shiny new harvesting droid and have been consuming veghash also, great for the internals
I haven't done a solid 3hr buff session yet, but last night got a free buff and went to Yavin hunting Whisper birds for Avian meat. The birds yield anything from 11units for hatchlings to 34units for large male/females. My droid has 101 harvest bonus with 4365 ham.
In an hour i got the following:
1600 units
Yavian Avian Meat (Coiro)
Decay: 657
Flavor: 476
Potential Energy: 301
Overall Quality: 998
Is this good going or could i be harvesting more?? I've got a vendor who i'm selling to for 80cpu - so last nights little freebie earned me $128k
Any tips/suggestions if this could be improved??

I can't comment on the pricing (because its really tough server to server) but anytime I'm offered more than 50 cpu I jump on it. With you're harvesting droid and veghash you're making a mean streak through those Whisper birds. Trying to think if there's something better to hunt onYavin ... but its been so long I can'tremember anythingoff hand.
Oh and make sure you're getting missions for those Whisper Birds! The added 3- 6k can go a long way with each set you drop.
One thing to consider is just the price of the veghash. Make sure you're making enough cash to cover a fresh crate once you're done. If you'reenjoying theWhisper birds keep it up you're doing well.

1.6k... I think you can do better. Thats a lot, but definiely more can be done. Take missions for them, both in same direction, and then you should be doing better.

The harvest was not bad, considering you're not a Master anything, except marksman (cough...waste of points unless you are going for BH... cough).
Could I suggest mastering a weapon, any weapon? Your skills go up a ton. While you are buffing and hunting whisper birds on Yavin, I am dropping Gleaming Lantern Birds on Endor - 100+ units meat per bird. Unbuffed except for brandy and accargarm and grouped with a fighter droid. It's all in the skills. Also, make sure the weapon you are using is not in the high resists on the animals (been a long time since I hunted Yavin.)
Any Master in any combat profession will tell you, mastering makes a large difference. Mastering Marksman isn't worth anything. Drop the weapons you don't want, saving ranged support only and drop that as you progress in the weapon of choice.

Naw, it's not that big of a waste, if you're a PvPer.
That extra + speed (especially for rifleman) saves millions of bucks in skill tapes.
But rarely does anyone do that.
