Thread: Harvester Droid Question. Please Answer

Hello All!,
I bought a harvester droid with 98 harvesting skill, now im a novice scout with only hunting 1, but as I understand with the droid being called out, this means that when i harvest i should get a bonus for harvesting skill?. Is there a limit as to how far the range of this works?
I don't really understand the mechanism, like if i have to group with it to get the bonus, or if its the droid that has to harvest and not me to get bonus.

The droids get the bonus, so you have to tell the droid to harvest the corpse.
I programmed a macro that says my harvest command, and then bound it to a key. Now while I am still fighting I can target the cropse, hit my hotkey, and my droid harvests the corpse. Great for those large wil lairs where you can take a long time to wipe all the mobs out, and the carcasses start to vanish b4 you harvest them.

It wont harvest much more, maybe a couple, then you can do yourself. So it wont double your harvest. And it cant harvest if you have. Only one of you can, you or the droid. Think of it as a set of specialized tools that allows you to harvest remotely.

With my 110 harvesting skill droid, it can harvest, as an example, 64 units where I can only do 51 on the same animal. It's definately worth having AND it's great that droids are finally worth something.

the real advantage of having a harvesting droid is that it will scootch on out there for you on command, rather than you ahving to run to the corpse and harvest.
(works in combat too. get into a routine of killing, calling command, and targeting next).

Can agree here....
Bought one myself, now i'm killing, as soon as they start to drop i hit "h" for droid to harvest, then onto the next target while he's whistling & chirping like mad harvesting.
He's picking up more than i ever could, and with Veghash even more. So look for some "veghash" from a chef/vendor for you to eat

One more question about harveting droids. Do you actually need to have novice scout and hunting 1 to use the droid?
