Thread: Holo/Q anyone. Can we get an update on what's going on with /maskscent please?
I have read a few posts that said the devs acknowledged they went a bit overboard with the mask scent nerf and there was supposed to be a post on the scout forum about what was going to be done to rectify it but, as yet, I haven't seen one.
Could you please update us on what's going, what options you are looking into or even listthe ideas you are kicking aroundand ask us what we think would be fair? Instead of just keeping us in the dark about it.

MaskScent makes you, not exactly invisible, but less offensive to creatures. As long as maskscent stays active, you can walk up to aggressive creatures and they won't budge. Note that I said WALK. Theoretically you could run --- I've done it when near non-aggressive durni, etc --- and it may work. But it's much much more likely to break if you run.
Of course, it still breaks a lot even if you walk. And ANY creature can break it, it seems. Doesn't have to be aggressive at all. I am a Novice Creature Handler, too,and Mask Scent is very handy for getting close to critters without spooking them. Sometimes they DO still notice me, but their reactions are muted.
With Explore IV (a pre-req for Creature Handler) my maskscent is still broken a -lot- and waiting 60 seconds for it to be available again is painful.
