I was on LOK well before Explore 4. Matter of fact it helped me get to lvl 4. I like Lok for traps and such, but if you are a newbie be prepared to run from EVERYTHING.

before or after the mask scent change Chap? I was working on getting scout XP with explore III when the change took place. Critters kept breaking it, but I'd just put mask scent back up, and continue to get XP. After the change went into place critters were breaking far more often than they'd give me XP so it just didn't work very well at all. I was getting much better scout XP by harvesting critters. Once I got Explore IV I went back, and mask scent was working very well for scout XP again.
However Lok isn't a newbie planet, and the only reason to go there is scout XP before you've at least mastered a combat style.
For some reason today my mask scent has been working a lot better. It dropped less than it gave me exp. It was a very nice welcome surprise at that. I hope it wasn't some sort of fluke lucky thing. I got about 3k in about an hour or so, just from mask scent. Granted my 18k fom Lok before the timer was even sweeter, but I doubt I could do that again now though. But 3k isn't too bad in an hours time.
