Thread: Creatures too skinny...
I have serious reservations that it's a nerf. I've seen in the forums that other people are having the same issue I am, which is hide. I usually hunt paralopes because of their nice wooly hide, and every single one now gives only 1 hide. If I do bone or meat they creature jumps back up to medium. But the hide always remain one at a time.
Maybe it has something to do with your character over harvesting one type or something, but I doubt it, and also why would they not tell us of this new "feature."
Finally, while it could be a nerf, it's going to end up hurting a lot more people then just scouts. How can a craftsman make clothes or armor if the people who supply them with that material can only pull one resource at a time. The costs of armor and clothing will shoot through the roof and possibly cripple some classes.
I think we'd all feel a bit better about it if they would just tell us what has happened (if bug/feature) instead of leaving us out here in the cold this weekend.
It's not a bug people. It's a Ninja nerf/balance. I've also been getting those 'skinny' animals on occasion. It didn't last long, just depends on what you're killing. For me, it lasted only 1 nest. The next nest I went to, the harvesting was back to normal. It only makes sense that not all animals would be 'medium sized' or 'fat and healthy'.
However, logging out when you're in the wilderness does leave you ingame for several minutes. It says so in the manual. I don't think it's a problem, other than when trying to clear a server-side bug, of course. Just tonight a groupmate logged out in the cantina, and his avatar remained in the game for about 10-15 minutes, all the while LD. Had we been out in the wild, I'm sure he'd be killed in that time.
