My friend and I both have Explorer 4, so we have the same Terrain Negotiation, but he seems to run up hills faster than me. I was thinking maybe because he had higher quickness or stamina, but I have higher quickness and stamina than him. He does have higher action than me though.I was also thinking maybe species is put into consideration? I am a wookie and he is a zabrak. Or maybe it's just my bad FPS. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Bad FPS could definitely be a huge factor in the running speed of your character. It could also have to do with your armor being worn at the time, I dont really know. I'm curious as to whether or not anybody knows how this works.

I find that I am usually the last one in the pack when auto running.

And I thought Bothans were supposed to be fast.

1) connection lag.. if you are losing packets you may appear to run slower

2) video lag.. if your FPS are not at least low 20s you will appear to run slower than others

3) what level of "exploration" you have.. this effects your move speed on any non-level terrain.

4) your race, it appears some races run *slightly* different speeds than others

Could also depend on what weapon, if any, you are carrying.

This happened to me once or twice but I think it was a bug. Im a both scout lvl 3 exp and he is a human lvl 1 exp. I was auto following him on flat land and I was running slower then usuall... after getting tired of having him stop evey 30 secs.. I reloged and it was fine.. I was running with good FPS and no lag.. just a bug or something.

Neither lag nor a low FPS should effect your running speed.

Lag simply means that the server isn't getting an update of your actions as fast, but in the mean time it will keep you moving in the same direction.

Low FPS will simply mean your animation isn't as smooth, not that you don't move the same speed.
