Thread: Camouflage
I believe (not sure) camoflague helps enemies miss you. The easiest way to kill a white con or yellow con (for marksma) is to go prone64m away from your target and begin to fire. Using this method you can take outhalf a white cons health before it attacks you.I belive camoflague makes the animals search for you longer before they find you and attack. Exploration increases your camoflague.
Rules are made for a reason, obidence is expected.
My understanding is that that camouflage doesn't directly affect your chances of avoiding detection but increases the chances that concealment skills like Maskscent and the Rifle Takecover will work. In other words there's no passive bonus only an increase in the success when you use a skill.
I can say that the plus 20 boost to Camouflage that you get if you go Master Scout makes a huge difference in the effectiveness of Maskscent. Not to the point of invisibility mind you but it does hlep

Storm
The addition for MS to work better is definately one purpose for camoflage. I also think it just helps creatures not see you right away. I'm a Bothan and get natural camo bonus, and even before getting MS, I would have creatures not find me right away when I was prone.
With the use of the Take Cover skill I can get several shots and 2 traps off before they see me and come running. Looking forward to MS actually being more usefull for traveling. Believe me, being Bothan doesn't make a big difference for MS now.
