I do similiar, but I don't need a probot, after all I plan to get hurt so that I can camp and heal it. I started out using rifle, as I was planning to become a sniper, but I recently figured out...THE SECRET.

Using my cdef pistol with novice marksman only (not a very good pistol either !) I get a mission of something which cons white or yellow (sevorrts on tattooine are great), I had trap 2 to start, I would move to 49m and throw one of each of my traps, i believe I had 6 of em, at one creature, and if one fails I re throw it. Bone spur, noise maker and lepicine( SP?) traps all affect the mind bar, when the mind bar reaches 0 from traps the next hit from any weapon kills the critter. I received about 40 points per trap, and a small amount of pistol exp. I receive almost no damage (stupid rifle gives serious health penalty against mellee), because the traps stun and mess them up.

Do this until Im too hurt to continue or I've completed the mission, make camp and harvest resources (I suggest getting novice artisan just so you can harvest, get a lot off one hundred of some resource and sell it on the bazaar for fairly decent cash). I harvest until the camp expires, and go do another mission...wash rinse repeat.

Its not like grinding because you work on so many different things. I started working on cooking, so I am experimenting with different foods too to help pass the time in camp. As it stands i'm almost ready for master scout on 3 hours a day.

First of all, I swear to God that was more than one big paragraph when I wrote it.

Second of all, I am a wookiee (so no armor), and I use a scout blaster that's 33-98 damage, 2.3 delay, 20 special action cost (Dac on Radiant makes GREAT weapons, best I've seen so far. He has his own shop outside Theed on Naboo - you should contact him if you're on the server.)

And finally, I did Explore IV and Hunt III (25000 SXP) in one day's play as I described. I even took time off to go out to lunch and then to a movie with my family. I started at 9 am and fnished at 11 pm, with the aforementioned breaks.

Well, thanks to the nerf that came before I could use maskscent, I had to go in search of an efficient way to grind scout xp.

I'm on Naboo, so this is sort of a guide for nabooians, but I'm sure you could replace the mentioned creatures with similar ones on other planets.

Anyway, from Theed I take a pair of missions (in the same direction). I try for ikopi missions or diseased nuna missions, as both are dark blue. Ikopi's are 50 SXP a piece, diseased nunas are 42. Anyway, I try to get them as far from the city as possible - usually 2000-2500 meters. On the way to the mission points, I kill any and all dark blues that don't gang up. Nightspiders, those other spiders (can't think of the name), diseased nunas, ikopis, shaupauts (normal ONLY, not greater or hunters), and narglatch cubs are all great targets. The butterflies should be avoided, as they quickly gang up. So do the snakes. This is the core of my strategy.

However, the REAL trick to my efficiency is this: I saved up and bought a Probot. I have since come to believe that they are worth their weight in gold. It does mediocre damage (100-130, I do up to 290 with Body Shot II), but its selling point is its incredible usefulness as a meat shield. I tell the bot to attack a target first, and then throw a trap before shooting at the creature myself. 80% of the time, the bot tanks for me - and can it ever tank. It has over 3k in each HAM bar, it regenerates well, and it can be quickly repaired by storing while you camp. By using the bot, I am able to take on yellow and red kaadu females and males without taking a scratch. The bot tanks the kaadu while I shoot. Females are worth 101 SXP, males 125. Females generally beat about 5% of the bot's hp, males about 8-10%. I've taken red greater shaupauts, which can incap me in about 8 hits, and only lost 25% of the bot's H bar. Peko-peko's are about the same as male kaadus. Due to this speed and efficiency (no damage to me = no downtime for me), I went from 1293 SXP to Explore IV (15000) in 4 and a half hours. I'm going to lunch right now, and then I'll be back at it to get Hunting III and start on Hunting IV tonight.

Another note: KILL BABIES. "Baby" creatures provide the same SXP from harvesting them as an adult, and they typically have pitiful HAM stats. Drop them like flies whenever you see them - even if you can't take on the adult! Lots of non-aggressive creatures just sit there while you pound Junior into the dirt.

On a final note, the reason I took the explore line first was because I intend to at least TRY and get xp out of maskscent when I see a group of reds. If I notice that it works much better at explore IV, I might try going to a planet with more red camps to see if it is still somewhat useful. But I'm not holding my breath.

How do I get one of these bots I don't see them being sold in the bazaar. If they are player made what profession and what planet/city would be best to find someone selling them?

Thanks for the info

Look for Droid Engineers. You'll find one or two in almost every populated city.

these are basically the pro-bots life is all about, being a meatshield and protecting their masters. oh, dont hunt those blues, i hunt banthas, dewbacks, and Giant Desert Beetle (have like 5000 HAMS) and i kill them pretty quick, except those beetles u need to store them because theyll run out of hp.

I dunno if I'd take reds, but I can take yellows and whites quite easily, and at a steady rate, with my bot.

Update: I did Hunting IV and Novice CH today. That's Explore 3, Explire 4, Hunting 3, Hunting 4, and Novice CH in two days. 77500xp.

Buy a probot.
