Thread: Scouting Macro
Anyone know a good one?
I need one for survival xp..
I know some people tend to frown on macroing.. but honestly I just don't have the time to sit somewhere for 15 minutes at a time.
So if someone could please share?
Jyb,
Do a search for "camping macro".
The problem you'll have though is that no matter what macro you use, you'll be sitting for 15 minutes at a time, unless you can find a group of friends to help you out. Read my Scout and Ranger guides for more info.

Jybisu:
I've used a variety of methods and macros for Survival XP.
Macro:
- Make24 camps
- Put each camp on a slot on a toolbar. It'll fill up a full pane.
- Create a macro that switches to that pane (/ui action toolbarPane06) and deploys the first camp (/ui action toolbarSlot00). Pause for 60 minues, or whenever a camp auto-disbands (/pause 3600). Then deploy the next camp (/ui action toolbarSlot01). Pause, deploy next camp... you get the picture.
- No there is no way to disband via macro. I've tried just about everything.
It was better before they fixed the AFK sampling because I could get a ton of resources during that "downtime" while I was camping. The macro method, was alright. But, I found, actually to be very inefficient. Especially after the first big patch and they sped up XP caps on Survival.
Irioning Approach:
- Buy as many Improved or Multiperson camps as you can (if you can't make them).
- Find out cap times for your camps
- Setup camp and start a household chore you can do around your computer that takes a lot of time. Irioning, laundy and folding clothes.
- When you hit the cap time limit, disband, and put up a new camp.
The irioning approach worked the best because I was getting something done to make the wife happy andI was maximizing my Survival XP. Also, if you sustain wounds, as a scout, never go to a medical center. Setup camp and sit, walk away for a while (watch TV, do something around the house, reintroduce yourself to your wife and child) and you should be clear of all wounds by the time you get back. If not disband camp and re-setup a new one. Bascially, I camp when I'm in the house and don't want to play the game (watching TV, doing chores, playing with wife and baby, etc).
Hope this helps.
