Thread: Fishing XP?
Does anyone know what variables affect the xp gained while fishing? I have stood in the same place, caught the same fish type and received all sorts of different amounts of xp for it.
I generally destroy the fish after fileting it, so I haven't been able to compare whether length, weight, etc. affect the amount of xp received.
Also, a friend of mine claimed to have fished on Endor and gotten large amounts of xp for it. Is there any basis to this claim? Do advanced planets give more xp for fishing there than starter planets do? So far I've only fished on Corellia and the xp return seems to vary between 50 and 130 per fish caught.
And on a separate topic but still related to fishing so I don't start a new thread: Do some kinds of bait decay faster than others? I don't mean the item's remaining quality decay like in weapons or armor, but the rate at which bait quality seems to move from "Fresh" to "Mush." It seems to me that worm bait and chum decay faster than insect bait, but it could just be observer error so I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced similar results. Also, worm/chum seems to fall off the hook [or be torn off] more frequently than insect bait. Again it could be observer error so I was looking for other opinions on the subject.
Thanks for reading [and hopefully replying].
