Thread: Looking for specific animals
Greetings,
Isn't there a command to try to find a specific species? Or is that at the ranger level? Also, are there any animal meat besides peoko peko's with high potential energy and high quality?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

For the meat question I was asking about Naboo specifically.

I don't know a command to find a specific animal. I think Rangers will be able to 'track' soon, but I'm not sure how that will work.
As far as meat is concerned, it is a resource. Like any other resource it shifts according to how much it is harvested. Peko meat may have great OQ an PE one week, but the next week it is low on the OQ/PE scale. Peko meat may keep it's good stats for three weeks or two. You never know. You can tell when the shift is about to occur as you will suddenly be harvesting 1 unit of meat off a 'fat and healthy' Peko. This indicates that resource is about to shift. I believe Artisan's can see a shift when they can no longer sample, but don't quote me on that one.
To find the best meat and hide, I travel from planet to planet. I take a few missions and see what's available. If it's good, I hunt the planet. If it's not, I move on.
Stj,
Ober's points here are dead on.
The best way, until /track is implemented for Rangers, is to get a destroy mission for the lair of the creature you are trying to find. You may not always be able to find one, but if you do, you're guaranteed to find at least a few of them while hunting.
The /areatrack command works okay too - but its range is limited to 500m.

An important thing to note is those collections of creatures with no visible lair do actually have a hidden lair, and are subject to the same effect. An irritating side effect of that is you have to stay there and wipe out dozens of 'waves' of creature to clear out the 'lair' to place a building. Oh well.
