Thread: Scout XP gone on acquirement of new skill?

Hey I'm new to the game and I'm following the path to be creature handler. Anyways once I uprgaded 2 skills in the Novice Scout skill tree (exploration and civilian methodology) It reset my scout XP from 2000 to 0. Is this part of the game or a bug?
