Thread: noob scout questions
Selling of hides etc. I usually sell mine for about 3 credits per hide, but in batches of either 500 or 1000. This can change depending on the quality and such of the hides, there are some out there that are rare, and these will sell for more. Do some research, I've also found that prices vary considerably depending on which server you are on so look at the bazaar and work from there.
On question 3; fun things, mmmm. This really depends on your game style and what you want to do. Personally, I like hunting and exploring and scouting helps me do these and make credits.
On quaetion 4; TKA, the Rifle tree and working on medic. Again this suits my gaming style, and gets me up close and personal with what I'm hunting...:-)
To solo or belong to PA's; Well I personally solo, but that for me is all about time. I am very much a casual gamer and gaming needs to fit around my professional life (and baby!) I will group if I have the time and someone's organising something. If you have the time, I would join a PA, there are a lot of benifits that I currently do not get, plus you meet people a lot easier etc.
Anyway, hope that helps sosusred.
And my the force be without you.....(I'm a Rebel!!!)
1. Once you use a camp, the only option is to disband it thus not be able to reuse the camp? THis can be rather expensive as camps cost 300 a pop? Is there a way to just "roll up" the camp so you can reuse it?
2. Ive got alot of meats, insect meat, and hides. How much do I sell this for?
3. Fun things to do as a scout. Any suggestions from you veteran scouts.
4. What other proffesions do you scouts have? What in your opinion makes a well rounded scout? I want to be a scout but I also want to be a droid engineer too. I guess I just want to be a geek that can handle himself.
5. Do most of you solo or belong to PA's?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my inquiries.
Sosus,
Welcome aboard!
My best answers to your questions are in my "From Novice to Master Scout" guide, stickied to the top of the forum. You can also do a search on "Novice Scout Guide" to find my Novice Guide (it didn't get much use, so I unstickied it. It's still on some of the fan sites.)
Good luck!

1. Answered. Definitely make your own.
2. Several good threads on pricing still on the front page - some folks have put a LOT of effort into some of them... One good piece of advice, find someone who uses your particular resource you want to sell and start up a business relationship. It'll help immensely in the long run.
3. Fishing. Camping out in the middle of nowhere with your sound cranked up. Playing tag with some big red nasties via maskscent. Sticking everything in the bank and heading off to one of the advanced planets. (Buy a round trip ticket and have enough to clone when ya get there...) Then check out as many POI's as ya can.
4. Marksman. Artisan. Heh. Of course, most of my artisan exp I got before our traps/camps were changed to give us survival exp.
5. I personally solo most of the time.
I'll lead off from 3...
3. I usually explore the POI's on planets, but depends on what you like to do.
4. I have Pistoleer (along with master marksman), Smuggler, and CH (may be dropped soon)
5. I belong to a PA and solo, it depends on who's doing what.
