Thread: Crafting stations and houses
With the recent outcropping of player cites, more places are giving away houses and other stuff for people to move in.
This means that a larger percentage of Scouts will have houses, even if they seldom use them.
An idea for all of you that do have a house. Get a weapon/droid/generic craft station and throw it in your house.
It's a great place to store hides/bones/meat. The contents don't count against your houses item count. Drop in some stuff that you already had a stack of, the stacks merge. If you buy a decent one, with good stats, you also get fewer critical failures if you craft traps and camps while standing in front of it. You can also make schematics, so if you have a friend with a factory, you can make mass quantities of traps and camps to use.
Beats using the bank safety deposit box. The only drawback is you do have to go to your house to get the items you want, and not a nearby bank if you are on your home planet.
I have been taking hunting missions out of my hometown for the past couple of weeks. Do two and return, repeat. Once I get a decent stack, or several piles, throw it in the station and it sorts the stuff for me.
A final benefit is that if you are crafting using the hopper items, only those items applicable to the item being crafted are shown.
I got mine when I was going through an Artisan phase, and still use it as a Master Ranger.
Just an idea that works for me
