Well I just dropped all of my Creature Handling skills in order to Master Scout and then get as far into Ranger as possible. I was wondering where the best place is to get trapping xp. I have Trapping I, now I need to get the rest. Does anyone know where the best place is to get that tree completed? I would like to get it done as fast as possible. Any input would be much appreciated!

Go with a group, trust me, you don't want to solo these. Let everyone else shoot, all you do is toss trap after trap after trap. Wire mesh stacks, so toss a bunch.

I made 2 levels in one hunting trip with 4 people, 8 missions. Be sure your buds know, you are not shooting, only trapping, leads to less confusion.

And your harvest is decent too, so you end up making decent creds outta the deal.

if u have anything lower than trapping 3 ur traps will fail 99% of the time on howlers, what i did was make a bunch of traps that could be used over and over, like glow juice or wire mesh and head to theed, there are TONS of newbie mobs just outside of town and u can easily dump 6-8 traps at 50xp each, 5 uses per trap so 5x50=250 250x8=2000, so you would get 2k xp per newbie mob and after a relatively small downtime, ull need it anyway to make more traps and its also a great way to earn some survival xp, i managed ot go from trapping 1-3 in one night

i went to corellia...and buffed myself...went out to humbaba's...aggro'd one...and threw all my traps on him..with buff he never did any damage to me...so i never had to run or attack him..i got 210xp per trap...i made trapping 4 in 30mins. from trapping 1...nowi just need help with SURVIVAL...someone said fishing gives you more xp than camping.....wrong for me...i get 58xp per fish..and sometimes dont even catch it..there has to be a better way...i dont care if i have to afk camp with macro....i did master musician for 2weeks that way.

The best way to get trapping XP is to find a pet or a decent droid (I prefer a probot). Have your pet start attacking a creature it can handle. While your pet and the creature fight it out lob traps on it all day long(use the toolbar!!!) . Your probot will be able to handle many types of "average" creatures (ex., Corellia: Carrion Spats, Bagaserets, ect). There are enough non-agro creatures out there for you to perform this safely. I never used buffs and rarely used groups while working on my trapping xp. Have a weapon ready though, when you run out of traps finish off the creature, craft some more traps and go at it again.

Words of caution-watch the health bar on your pet. While a probot can take a lot of damage, if it goes unchecked long enough you will need another probot. Also, be careful not to bite off more than you can chew. I pulled a War Gronda out of ignorance once. Once. Do your research and have a great time. Trapping XP was the first branch of scouting I maxxed after I got the hang of it. You'll do fine
