Hello,

Im a Novice Armoursmith/Pikeman trying to find ------Trego------- type Bone.

Please, if you can tell me what type animal this is harvested from, please reply.

If the particular type of bone - in your case Trego - is not available, do not lose heart.

Rarely will that type of bone come back with the same stats. You either got some or you missed the spawn. However, other bones will spawn, and over time, the stats will be at least as good or better than what Trego had. The tricks are:

a. Knowing when good bone has spawned. www.swgcreature.com if site is back up.

b. Paying enough to get someone to sell it to you. Right now I am harvesting good meat, and no one wants to pay over 40cpu for it (Odd, they were paying 80cpu 2 days ago, methinks I smell price fixing). No matter, I will store it and wait. Another method is to find a Ranger/Scout and cut deals, like free armor for bone, which you get to buy at a discount, or get free.

The trick is waiting til some good bone spawns on your server. And remember, if bone is good on one server - only means bone is good on that server. My server, with the same bone, can have crappy stats.

very good answers and advice, thank you very much. i have another question though. you say i have to wait for the bone to spawn, so does that mean that at any time, all the bone i gather will be the same type ie; trego, or are they still different on different planets within the server. i hate to be a dumbass, but i am close to being armoursmith and i want to get started on gathering the Good stuff so i can make back all the money ive lost over the grinding period. also, if its like i expect (different types of bone and hide on different planets) can you tell me what is a good animal on which planet for good Bone and which for good Hide.

Each planet has it's own set of resources. So does each galaxy.

But - all the creatures on a planet that drop a resource drop the same resource. Example -Talus leathery hide is dropped byTortur and Fynocks. They both drop the same hide at the same time. Most of the time this is true. Some times, usually on the day of a shift, you can get two different types of resource at the same time, but this is rare.

Each planet is different. Avian bone from Talus is not the same as avian bone from Corellia. The stats will vary. And because you hear that XYZ bone on ABC planet in 123 galaxy is great, check your galaxy... each galaxy has it's own stats and spawns.

Because resources shift, and stats shift with them, I can't say - go to here and harvest this, it's great. You take what you get when you can get it. Be ready to compromise and always be ready to spend big bucks on good stuff.
