Hi, I'm a master scout and I don't normally hunt for profit. However, I was running missions on Dantooine and a guy needed carn. meat. I happen to have that type of mission so I abliged him for 1k units. The quality of this stuff was very good...quality over 950 and another over 950. I sold it for 20cpu. Am i shortchanging myself?

Check the first 5-10 pages of your server trade forum. Look for WTB - Dant Carnivore Meat or WTB - Briscy Carnivore meat (insert name of resource) and see what prices they were looking for. 20 isnt a bad number you dont sound like you felt cheated.
A lot of it comes down to ease of getting it to. Dantoine carnivore can be gotten in decent quantities. Where say a tat avian cant.

1 stat over 900, at least 40. 2 stats, at least 80.
Depending on who wants it, stats mean different things. OQ is usually important, as is Decay and Potential Energy, and finally flavor.
20cpu - um.... what a nice guy you were!!

Servers differ and the remaining stats can matter a great deal. On Radiant you might have managed 30 CPU, but I can't say for certain without knowing the full stats. Of course, with what you said it could also be worthless but for grinding...

they way that i judge. I check the trade boards to see what the average price range appears to be.
When you get someone that wants to buy from you (or commission to buy from you), make them give you an offer. If they go over, drop it by a few cpu.
However, if they're WAY low (like by a good 10 credits or so). raise it an obnoxious amount and smile. They're the ones trying to cheat you.
*grin*
