Hello,
I am working on the harvesting part of the scout tree to be able to make some extra money while I am out hunting. Does anyone know if there is a droid that enhances my harvesting skills rather than doing the harvesting it self. Enhances may not be the correct word. I have an R3 medical droid that when he is called he allows me to heal damage outside of a hospital. It would be that kind of thing. Thanks

It depends on the rating of the droid. If it's more than 100, then yes, it will enhance your skill.
I would also suggest buying some veghash, too.

Someone asked this on the Ranger forum too, but does Vagesh still enhance your harvesting whe using your harvest droid? I finally bought one the other night and he has a 106 harvest bonus which I thought was pretty good. Can I bump that with vagesh?
Also found the best way to quickly harvest them is mounted. Not being able to use specials has its drawbacks but my t21 straight out doesn't pull from my pool points as much and I can actually move quite faster. I set my hotkeys up for the droid and creature commands.
Ceno/Nareese told me to add the /says command infront of the macro so I can still use them while I'm in RIN or guildchat. Man that has saved my day. No longer will I accidently spam guildhcat with my jokes, hehehe.

It might be better to use the /tellpet command, instead of /say ... you won't clutter spatial, and it has a longer range. Just be aware that single-letter commands don't work with it.

Harvesting droid bonuses and veghash bonuses do stack.
You cannot harvest when mounted. You can loot, but you can't harvest. The droid can still harvest if you happen to be mounted, though.

Thanks for the help! Another question though.
What stats make a resource considered high quality (meat, bone, hide) and is there a place where I can get an idea about what the going rate is for the resources? Thanks

Is that why it takes so long for my droid to acknowledge my harvest command? That was irritating me like crazy. I was mounted and would kill my target and give the command and I had to wait for the droid to even acknowledge it before I could target my next creature. If I targeted before the droid took the command, he'd lose the harvest target and I had to do it myself.

Spatial gives you the lag. I've got macros set up for my droid (/tellpet harv, where harv is the command to harvest the current target) and it works much faster, bypassing spatial lag.

maybe my droids are just dumb or something but I can NOT for the life of me get them to acknowledge the harvest command I've programmed them with when I use /tellpet. It works with all the others though and the harvest command (which is set as harvest) works fine in spatial with a /say.

This may sound like the same question, but are you using the same word you use in your /say command? Whatever word you taught the droid to harvest on is the one you need in the /tellpet. And as someone stated earlier, one letter commands don't work with /tellpet.
I changed over to /tellpet last night with great success. Cut my harvest time down in a big way.

Yep I am, originally I had the hotkey setup as /say harvest and all I did was edit /say to /tellpet. I'll try it again tonight just to make sure I didn't screw something up.

smacks forehead, doh, I had that one command set to 'h' and didn't realize it lol. It was still working flaky though after I made it an actual word. For some really weird reason the droid would acknowledge with a '!' like normal that I told it to harvest but would get part way there and just stop, sometimes I had to tell it up to 4 times to do it. Don't know what that was about but I set it back to spatial and the problem went away.

you could always try something whacked out like... /tellpet spunky, get em!!! but where is the fun in that if no one sees it?
(honestly try a completely different command and see if it'll work.)
