Thread: Trapping XP??

Ok, I read though the guide on scout, didnt help much, my question is, I have trapping 2, where should I go for working on box 3 and box 4?

Varies, but id recommend Rori. Leviasqualls & Squalls are tremendous fun as you can easily outrun them.

Was hunting Dantooine last night and my noise traps were having good effects on the huurtons. Absolutely NOTHING was working against the pickets or graul mauraders.
Spent three hours hunting and barely moved my trapping xp with the exception of the huurton hits. Am about 200 pts away from trapping IV. Should finally get 4444 tonight if we go back to Dantooine.

Talus. Lost Village. Back right corner as you come in from Nashal on a bike. Balcony. GSPs, 258 xp per trap. How many traps can you carry? They can't touch you if you stay on the balcony. Unequip all weapons. Throw traps. Then when you are out of traps (and as you are in combat and can't make any more), shoot the creatures for weapons/combat xp then harvest for scout XP. A perfecta, quinella if you were maskscented coming in and got that xp.
Talus. Torturs. Level 25 mission. 6k Missions. No DB. 3 sizes, so xp varies, but p-darts slow them, sharp bone spurs work well. Social, only pull one at a time if you can. Good weapons xp, decent harvest.
Endor. Gleaming Lantern BIrds. 10k missions. No DB. DO NOT ATTEMPT UNLESS YOU HAVE A MASTER IN A WEAPON. Pull one, toss traps at 400+ per while a droid tanks it for ya. Then drop it. Harvest and continue til the lair is done. 10k in your pocket, some herbie meat also. They are social, so unless you can pull only one, pass on this one. They bite hard, food buffs are mandatory.
If you use traps when hunting regulary, you will get the xp. You can tell those who don't use them - (ahem) melee types, rifle types, carbine types. Pistol types use them all the time and max traps before anything else.
Anyhow, these 3 will get you trap levels in one buff session. Or do the panthers and torturs without buffs and save credits. I only food buff, no armor, on Endor.

Excellent JB, exactly the post I have been looking for, I was dreading the trapping grind. Just need to factory run some traps off and get to it.

I recomend finding a master chef that can make you some Dweezel, it takes very little resources to make and helps so much (mine is +20 to scouting, thats like having the 4 boxes in it already). I got 2 boxes in traps in about 10 minutes (throw wire mesh traps at quenkers). I could get the other 2 in no time, just don't feel like it, trying to get someone to take me to rancors to get harvesting XP and hide for crafting tents.

Quick question, at what level on trapping can you trap the GSPs at the lost village? I went and tried with no levels just to see whether I could do it and nothing doing, none of them stuck at all.
